Weekends are not included when calculating our deadlines, so if you submit your paper on a Thursday with a four-day deadline, it will be ready for you by the following Wednesday.
AJE is closed for several U.S. holidays and deadlines are delayed for these days and expedited timelines may not be available.

Our editors are based in the U.S.A., and we give them time off on weekends and to celebrate major US holidays.
